Also known as Morado Opal, this amazing Purple Opal is found in Mexico. This beautiful slab is polished on one side and left unpolished on the other side. I have included photographs of the unpolished side wet, so that you can see what it might look like polished. Purple is one of the rarest colors to find in nature, so I was very excited to be able to source these purple beauties! The purple coloring is actually attributed to tiny fluorite inclusions in the stone. Morado Opal is quite a soft material, so it is difficult to cut and polish without breaking or scratching the stone.
Please note: this is a natural gem that will have imperfections. There may be small chips, nicks, and natural fissures in the stone.
