Labradorite was first found in Labrador, Canada. According to Inuit folklore, labradorite fell from Aurora Borealis (the Northern Lights). Its beautiful flash, called chatoyance, is truly as mesmerizing as the Northern Lights and comes in many different colors. In recent years, deposits of labradorite have been found in Madagascar that display impeccable coloring. All of our Labradorite comes from Madagascar.
